David has been a successful full-time Educator for the past 17 years.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Coaching from Cortland State University and his Master’s Degree in Health Education from the University of Nevada – Reno.  While attending Cortland State, David was a member and three year starter for the Cortland State football team. During his playing tenure, he was the winner of both the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Robbins Scholar Athlete Award for the 1993-1994 academic year and the Cortland College Alumni Association Merle W. Hathaway Scholar Athlete Award for the 1994-1995 academic year.  In addition to being a full-time Educator, David is currently both a Varsity Boys Basketball Coach (11 years) and Varsity Girls Swim Coach (2 years) and has competed in both sectional and state championships during his coaching tenure.  David had an NFL tryout with the New York Giants as both a punter & kicker in May of 2001.  In his spare time he is the creator, producer, editor, and host of the following three sport podcasts: Huddle Up With the Daves, The NFL in HD with Howard and Dave, and the Pro Bass Insider Podcast.  David has been directly responsible for over 100 episodes released between the three sport podcasts.  The episodes run anywhere in length from ten minute tournament updates to full length one hour episodes.  A typical show consists of numerous segments involving sports news, interviews, entertainment, humor, trivia, and audience interaction through various social media outlets.  Along with constructing his studio, David also taught himself digital editing, mixing and mastering, website design, and copyright practices and laws.  He now brings the life lessons, skills, and knowledge he has acquired from being an athlete and coach to his students, players, and listening audience.  David is a fan of the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers, and a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan – don’t hold that against him!
